Overview

The Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Level 4 Apprenticeship is designed for individuals aspiring to senior leadership roles.  The Lead Practitioner in Adult Care will guide and inspire team members or colleagues to make positive differences to someone’s life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional, psychological or intellectual challenges.  This apprenticeship combines practical experience with theoretical knowledge to prepare apprentices for effective leadership in adult care services.

Receive

This qualification is is the equivalent to the first year of a university undergraduate degree or a Higher National Certificate (HNC). Upon successful completion of this program, you will receive:

  • Pearson BTEC Level 4 Diploma in  Adult Care Accredited with Edexcel Pearson.
  • Apprenticeship Certificate accredited by Highfield Awarding Body

Funding

Cost: Non Levy Employers pay a Contribution of 5% which is £350. The Government will fund 95%.

Levy Transfer: DHCT will help you apply for a Levy Transfer from the NHS or Council to fund 100% of the course fees.

Details

EPA is completed by an External Pearson Awarding Body Assessor. Learner completes:
– Observation in practice
– Professional Discussion

The learner must complete the EPA to achieve the full programme.

The Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Level 4 Apprenticeship typically requires:  

  • Working in a Care Management Service Role 
  • A Level 3 Qualification preferably in healthcare
  • GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or Level 2 or equivalent. 
  • If you do not have GCSE or equivalent you will need to complete your functional skills in English and Maths during the programme. 

To complete an apprenticeship, you must be employed in an organisation with your employer's support. By undertaking an apprenticeship, you commit to completing the End Point Assessment (EPA).
