Level 2 Customer Services Apprentice achieves incredible result in EPA!

One of Dynamo’s Level 2 Customer Service apprentice’s Naomi has completed her EPA achieving a Distinction, the highest result achievable!

Naomi started the role as her first job in a healthcare setting and went straight into the apprenticeship. Naomi says

“Going into an apprenticeship role as a new starter took the pressure off starting a new job, and I wasn’t expected to know everything”.

Although Naomi worked through the Covid-19 pandemic, she says that she faced few barriers during the course, and that her assessor who couldn’t physically visit the surgery often made sure to keep in touch with her with regular teams calls and extra support.

Now Naomi has completed the apprenticeship, she has been promoted to a Medical Secretary position at the surgery!

Naomi says

“I feel more confident in my everyday life, it has really given me a boost, and improved my communication skills”.

Naomi’s assessor Carol says “When Naomi started her apprenticeship for her role, she lacked self confidence, and this was evident when discussing her knowledge in tutorials.  However, Naomi has learnt fundamental standards from this course as well as learning from her employer the expectations to carry out her role with confidence and assertiveness.  Naomi has developed into a confident receptionist and is currently learning a new role as medical secretary. Well done Naomi!”
