One Year Climate Positive!

Dynamo Healthcare Training are celebrating a full year of being climate positive!

After 12 months of climate impact, we have offset 174.42 tonnes of CO2e! This is through supporting a variety of projects across the globe, including 3.53 tonnes of CO2e reduced through the Cleaner Cookstoves project in Zambia and Ghana, producing Energy from Waste Rice Husks in India has reduced 10.6 tonnes of CO2e and the Small Scale Onsure Wind project in India has reduced 22.6 tonnes of CO2e from out atmosphere. But what do these numbers mean?

The 174.42 tonnes of CO2e we have reduced is equivalent to 134 long haul flights, 523 metres2 of sea ice saved, and 432,736 miles driven in the average car! This is a huge impact!

Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere increases the greenhouse effect. More thermal energy is trapped in the atmosphere causing the planet to become warmer than it would be naturally. This increase in the Earth’s atmosphere is called Global Warming. Global Warming can cause droughts, increased wildfires, reduced agricultural yields, flooding and erosion in coastal areas, including Cornwall.

This next year Dynamo are not only continuing to work with Ecologi to continue our Carbon Positive journey, but we will be taking real action in our local areas, starting this month when the team will be visiting Penzance to plant some trees!

Keep updated with our blog and socials to find out how it goes!
