The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

The Cornwall Learning Partnership Is a partnership of organisations in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that:

  • Supports young people and unemployed adults
  • Supports employers and the workforce in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and delivering in partnership with:
    • Business Sectors
    • Voluntary and Community sector
    • Private training providers
    • Colleges

Dynamo Healthcare Training has worked with Cornwall Learning Partnership for 4 years, they support us to access funding to offer our Apprenticeships in Cornwall and also various European Social Funded programs (ESF).  These ESF programs have allowed us to support unemployed people into work within health care and also provide various in-house training programs for employers to develop their existing staff.

The Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre

HWBA place to inspire dynamic people to grow and build innovative enterprises leading to business success.

Based at Treliske in Truro, the Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre is a business acceleration facility that welcomes knowledge based business within sectors that support health and/or wellbeing.

Dynamo Healthcare Training has been a member of the Centre for 3 years.

Cornwall Adult Education Service is a community based organisation which currently makes use of over 350 venues across the County to reflect its commitment to make learning as accessible as possible. The service seeks to provide a learning programme which enables all adults in the County to develop their skills, knowledge, judgement, interests and creativity, whatever their particular needs.  Adult Education for Cornwall is supported by Cornwall Council.  Adult Education through Cornwall Council are funding the delivery of the Dynamo Healthcare Training Academy during the Cadet and Traineeship stages.

Wheels to Work for Cornwall

Cornwall Wheels to Work has been supporting people in Cornwall to reach employment since 2004.

We are able to loan or hire a moped or electric bicycle to people who have a firm offer of employment but have no access to public or private transport. We have been able to assist over two thousand people reach their employment over the last 9 years.

We are a CIC (Community Interest Company) and we cover the whole of Cornwall. We have a fleet of 75 mopeds and 8 Electric Bicycles and are aiming to increase mopeds to 100 by 2015.

About the Scheme

The mopeds and E/cycles are loaned or hired at a subsidised weekly cost for an initial 12 week contract; this will allow you time to look for an alternative mode of transport. If this has not been achieved, we will discuss the option of a new 12 week contract, which is subject to negotiation.

  • All mopeds are insured

    • Regularly Serviced
    • Bike Loans from £30 a week
    • Electric Bicycles from £24 a week to get to employment

  • They match apprentice with employer but support through employing the apprentice on behalf of the employer.

Volunteer Cornwall is a charity dedicated to developing active and engaged citizens through volunteering. We’re partnering with them to provide meaningful volunteer placements for the healthcare workforce, including volunteering opportunities for our cadets on the healthcare training academy programme.
